Feeling helpful (and tired!) tonight... yawwwnnn...

This morning, the trip to Connaught Bridge Power Station happened. Did I have a wonderful time? Well... if u call feeling bewildered, confused, and helpless: yes! Ahahaha! If only you guys were there when my supervisors and I walked around the compound of the power plant, chatting with the Head of Production Hj Aidee, and having a discussion with En. Azmi, an engineer there. You'll surely laugh your head off (or feel pity for me, whichever suits ur mood): for most of the trip, I stood there like a tree, keeping my mouth shut, and just looking around. My supervisors were doing most of the talking. Sometimes, I felt that it was like they were doing the research for my project while I'm there just as a tourist! How awful... :(

Anyway, things were overwhelming over there. I mean, yes, it's great to see how a power plant looks and works with your own eyes, but in the sense of my project work, the system information there was really confusing. I didn't understand a lot of the things occuring there, especially the plant information retrieval system and control parts, mostly becoz I'm not an IT person. They were all too overwhelming for me. But still, I'm confident I can do my project, so let's just do it!

And why am I feeling helpful tonight? Becoz I just finished helping a friend solve a personal problem. And I feel great! Sometimes, when I do solve these problems, I say to myself: why shouldn't I be a counsellor? Since I can solve problems really well, counselling should be my career! Then, I look back at what I had done, and realised I haven't solved that many cases to be considered a good counsellor... :D Plus, being a counsellor really stresses you out, coz u have to think of other ppl's problems, while at the same time solve your own problems! Ugh... what a scary proposition that is. I guess I'll just be a part-time freelance counsellor then! ;)
