How do you know that a certain person is right for you? That a certain person is THE person that you should live with the rest of your married life? How do you know? Is there a certain way to look at it, a unique formula that tells you what you should look for to know that that person is your soulmate?

On the flipside, how do you know a person is not right for you? Again, is there something about that person that can give us an idea that he/she is not right for us? Am I being a hopeless romantic here? ;)

Anyway, it just came to my mind recently that deciding whom to be with for the rest of your life (i.e. your future husband/wife) is not as simple and as easy as picking the most beautiful person that you can find. Instead, it's a wholehearted effort of having to look at that person in every single angle possible and see whether we and him/her are compatible, and can live a life of constant love for the rest of our lives. Also, we must also look at how friendly we are with that person (since we won't want to spend our lives in boredom!). Apart from that, their moral values must also be taken into consideration. I for one don't want to have the most beautiful wife in the world but with a very, very, bad attitude.

I know, sometimes, we might just compromise and say to ourselves, "Finding someone like that is too idealistic a condition, and almost impossible to do. So lets just make do with what we have or what's easily available for us." Yes, I agree, it is hard to find that one person whom is right in every single facet for you. And thus you have to relax your demands and set lower standards of acceptance. However, bear in mind that you're spending the rest of your life with him/her! Make sure you can find the best person possible that can satisfy all your needs, both physically and mentally. The last thing we ever want is to get a divorce after marrying a person, due to incompatibility issues. Nauzubillah...

As a side note, my apartment's vending machine just swallowed 50 sen of my money! Damn it. I tried turning the coin return lever and no money came out. Somebody should fix that machine. It's already eaten up, to date, RM1.20 of my money! :(
