True friends: care to lend a helping hand?

Hi guys. You know, at the exact moment of typing this post, it's 12.45 p.m. in the afternoon. And currently I feel so out of mood.

Why, you might ask? Actually, it's because I feel so lonely. Currently I feel like I really need to have friends that can guide me through all these problems, these obstacles that I'm having, safely and surely.

And I don't mean just a simple friend, since to me, simple friends don't do these things. Only 'true' friends (or what people sometimes call good friends), friends that wholeheartedly support you, give you good advice, help you all the way in reaching your goals, correct you when you're wrong... only these people do that.

Have I set too high a standard in categorising people as true friends? Do you guys agree with me on the definition of a true friend? I have a few friends that I consider true friends, but I do not want to bother them with the problem I'm having because they themselves are either busy with their work, both school and office work, or they are not easily reachable.

I will not specify in detail the problems that I am having, since they are personal matters that should never be revealed in a blog. Suffice to say that they are major problems, and I really need guidance and assistance in solving them.

Hmmm... how melodramatic can one get?

Anyway, in keeping with the spirit of loneliness that I'm having, tonight I plan to have a 'lonely' (yes, of the single person type) birthday celebration dinner at Alamanda. I'm gonna treat myself to some great tasting food, without thinking much of its cost. And then, I will just go back home and sleep a lonely sleep.
