The New Era...
Thursday, December 09, 2004 Just came back from Uniten tonight. Should have a class tomorrow morning, but it's cancelled coz my lecturer has some matters to attend to. Finally, was able to go online today. Alas, tonight jugak I go back home. So, wasn't able to utilise the Internet connection in my room. However, I still prefer the 'Net connection here at home coz I can download files using Bittorrent to my heart's content. No silly, frustrating firewall restrictions. :D Now... what happened since my last post? Again, me being myself... not much. As usual. Heh. A brief rundown follows. I went to Midvalley last Thursday initially to watch Alexander, but I arrived late to the cinema, thus making me have to go for another movie (well, I could go for the 5.30 show, but knowing that show is 3 hours long, I'll miss Maghrib, and that's a definite no-no). So, I chose Polar Express. Typical boy doesn't believe in Santa Claus, but finally believes story. What I like is the animation and graphics. Simply beautiful. But towards the end, the environment (especially when they arrive at the North Pole, with all the elves congregating in the middle of the city, celebrating Santa Claus) eerily reminds me of Vatican City, with the centre of attraction being the pope. Somehow, terasa macam the story subtly promotes Christianity pulak when I watched it. Anyway, as I said, I didn't concentrate much on the story. I look more towards the graphics and animations, which were simply superb. On Saturday, I went to my fren Win's brother's wedding ceremony. I went there with my fren Ikrom, and well, I must say, it was a typical wedding environment, of coz. Quite bosan, I guess. Luckily, our host, Win, entertained us by chatting with us most of the time. Kalo tak, memang agak bosan la, coz we didn't know anyone else who were sitting all around us. Luckily I didn't go there alone... lagi la bosan. Monday, my new semester started. As usual, the first week of classes, nothing much will be taught, as students might add and drop their subjects. As for me: nope, I won't drop any of my subjects, of coz. I'm already a final year student. Takkan la nak drop subject. Extend pulak nanti. :D Tapi there's this one class I'm taking, Engineering Graphics, sket gila org. Only 6 ppl signed up for it. In one way, best jugak la, coz the lecturer can teach effectively coz kitorang aje yg ada. But still, quite boring coz tak ramai org yg leh we kenal. Hmm... lupa nak citer. I got an A- in my Project 1. This means it's possible for me to graduate with a CGPA of 3.5, as long as I get paling kurang pun 3 A's and 1 A- this semester. Although very sket aje subjects that I take, 2 of them, namely Project 2 and Control Systems are quite tough, and there's quite a high possibility that I might even get a B or B+ for them. Hope not. Hope I do graduate with CGPA 3.5, InsyaAllah... Well, that's the gist of what I did this past week. I hope more eventful and exciting adventures await me in this new semester!
