First experience in a major accident!

Now this is getting waaay out of hand. 2 weeks with no updates? What's happening with you Nik? Heheh... Nothing actually. I just didn't feel like updating. That's why my blog has no activities whatsoever.

But finally, I was able to get my mind to whip up something nice to write in this blog. Nice? I don't know whether it'll be nice or not. I just write whatever I want to write. Heheh.

This just past weekend, on the way back from kampung, while my dad was driving ibu, my sister and yours truly, we were involved in an accident! Alhamdulillah, nothing seriously bad happened. But something bad still happened la, that's why I said nothing seriously bad happened. The Kelisa's front part (I presume the engine block itself, included) was a total wreck. But no one in the car was injured, Alhamdulillah.

It occurred like this: my dad was "kinda" speeding down this road just beside the Bandaraya Star LRT Station (the one near Sogo), across the river. I don't know the name of that road. Anyway, while driving, we all saw a row of cars stopping up ahead, queueing up at a traffic light junction. Ayah, I presume, saw that too, but based on my experience, he likes to brake late. But even though he brake's late, his braking is often still timely (to the point where the car still stops to a halt just a few centimetres before the front car). Weirdly, this time, he didn't make it, and the car screeches for a few seconds before banging into the back of the Wira, which as a result of momentum, banged into the Accord in front of her.

What transpired after that, the circumstances of the case, how ayah wasn't able to brake even though he knew he can brake, reeks of a set-up. Partly, yes, I think it's still his fault because he should've braked waaaay earlier when he saw the car in front has stopped. But still, he said, the car should've stopped when he slammed the emergency brakes. More so when he claimed that he did try to brake earlier, but the car failed to respond. Possibly some oil slick was intentionally poured onto the road? We can just wonder... That's all we were able to do.

As far as I know, this was the worst accident we as a family have experienced. I hope we won't ever be involved in any accident after this.

As far as I am concerned, ever since I've been an active driver these past 1 and a half years, I've met with plenty of close calls! I nearly scratched another car, nearly was slammed at the side by another car at a junction - you name it, I've experienced it. Huhu... but I have yet to experience a true accident. But I hope I won't ever be involved in one. Seriously, if something were to happen, I won't know what to do, and I can easily get conned! Like I got conned that night in 1997, when a conman got away with my wallet and money and ATM card (with PIN!).

But that is another story... Ask me again, and I will relate it to you guys.

Well, there's another update for you! :)
