Shrek 2 was very cuuuuute! And hilarious!

Hi all. I just went to Midvalley yesterday to watch Shrek 2. And my final verdict of the movie? It's very good, but it does not surpass the quality of Shrek 1 by a huge margin. Yes, it's better than Shrek 1, but not by much.

What I like about the Shrek movies, 1 & 2, are the funny jokes that they put in. And Shrek 2 does not disappoint. Many parodies of recent movies, popular trends, and so on, are presented in Shrek 2. And I also like how they portray the fairy tale characters in a new light, and how all these fairy tale characters interact in a way to bring life to the whole world of fairy tales. And I also like some of the twists that they spin on fairy tale characters. Excellent examples of these are how they show the fairy godmother, who's actually a good character in all fairy tales, as an evil person, who has personal agendas in helping others. How McDonald's drive-in would exist in a fairy tale world as Fat Friar's Boy. How they parody the COPS TV show (I think it's called that) that's shown in the US and turn it into Knights, which show how criminals are chased in fairy tale worlds. And an especially hilarious scene is when Pinocchio, the Big Bad Wolf, the 3 Blind Mice, and the Gingerbread Man go to rescue Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots, while parodying the Mission Impossible movie scene made popular by Tom Cruise (you know, the hanging by the string part).

And the introduction of a new supporting character, Puss in Boots, did not disappoint! He must be one of the cutest characters in animation movies! Especially when he puts on his "pity face". Hehehe... it stops everyone, including the bad guys that's chasing him, to stop and look in awe at his cuteness.

All in all, a very cute and hilarious movie. I recommend it to everyone. Now, next on my list is "The Day After Tomorrow". If it can create the same feeling that I got from watching "Armageddon", than I'll say that it'll be a great movie. But let's just put that for later, until after I watch the movie tomorrow, shall we...
