Project title confirmed!

I spent almost the whole part of today worrying about which project title that I want to sign up. I've chosen the supervisor that I want since last week, but the  project title? It took me almost a week to finally confirm which title I'll take.
 
I had a choice of 4 titles under my supervisor, Mr. Kumaran. They were:

1. Study and analysis of a power plant's efficiency and determination of energy loss factors.
2. The development of an efficient compressed air management system.
3. Properties and performance tests of bio-diesel fuel compared to other fuels.
4. The development of an oscillatory flow mixing tube.

After much thinking and weighing all the options available, I chose title 1, which  is the study and analysis of a power plant's efficiency and determination of energy loss factors. The other titles are all very interesting, especially the bio-diesel related titles,  but I chose no. 1 because I feel it's the most TNB-related project title.

Actually, all the other titles are related to TNB (except for the compressed air management system), but I still feel that I'm more at home with title 1. Most probably because the things that I'll have to do are mostly data collection, site visits and analysis using computers and all. No hands-on work is possibly involved. I prefer it being that way. Moreover, from the site visits and data collection, I can gain knowledge and experience about how a power plant works. Apart from that, I also plan (and with my supervisor's agreement) to create a computer program that can give important data about the power plant's operations (such as efficiency, power output, etc.) without the user having to calculate them himself.

I know, there're lots of work involved, especially in the software development part, but I believe I can do it! Well, looks like I'll have to dig up my old programming books and reacquaint myself in the world of computer programming then. Now, what's left is for me to choose which programming language I should be using...
