A birthday of change...

Hi guys. Today is Saturday, and there are 3 more days left to my 23rd birthday! Yes, I'm turning 23 this Tuesday. Should I be happy, or should I be sad?

On one hand, I should be happy because I'm turning older, and usually, as people grow older, more opportunities open up for them, they get wiser, they'll gain more responsibilities, more respect, and so on. But on the flipside, I will no longer be able to relive the years that I have experienced all this while. I might recreate what I experienced, but the feeling of authenticism will be lost, since it's just a recreation of my experience.

And of course, I'm also worried of the fact that as I get older, I'm slowly inching closer to the end of my life. And I'm afraid that I haven't done enough good deeds in order to be considered a future resident of Heaven.

From this birthday onwards, I think I will try to implement a change in my life. And the change that I'm talking about is a change in the religious aspects of my life. I will strive to improve it, but I will start slow. What's most important is that I indefinitely continue performing the improvements that I implement, rather than doing it just for a short while, and then abandoning it all together.

And, since we're also slowly reaching the month of Ramadhan, day by day, I think it's high time that all of us start to change for the better, shouldn't we? :)
