Nothing much...

These past few days, nothing much happened. At least today, I went out of the house! (Hehehe... instead of just sitting indoors, sleeping, surfing the Net, playing NBA Live 2005 and PES4 - yeah, very, dull stuff indeed). I went to Midvalley to utilise the student advantage I have - watching movies at very cheap prices! At RM6 per ticket, it's a steal!

Anyway, initially I planned to watch Alexander, that 3-hour long movie about Alexander The Great, but due to my procrastinating behaviour, I sat down playing NBA Live longer than I should. I missed the 3.30 p.m. show that I was aiming for, so instead, I went and watched Without A Paddle, which was quite an okay movie.

Without A Paddle is a comedy about four close friends, who were close ever since they were little kids. When one of them dies due to an accident and left behind a treasure map, the other three went treasure-hunting. Unfortunately, they got lost along the way, and many hilarious things ensued. They were chased by a bear, came across and chased by 2 brothers who are vicious (but occasionally foolish) poppy farmers and traffickers, met 2 hot women who are half-naked in the woods in support of a protest against forest logging, and even lost their clothes and was stripped naked down to their underwears (and consequently, in one hilarious scene, had to hug each other in order to keep themselves warm - imagine, men hugging men, wearing only underwear!)!

But ultimately, it's about how a friendship can last long, no matter what happens. How enjoyable life is when you seize the moment given to you, and not care too much about the "what if's" and the consequences.

The movie somehow reminds me of the life I had when I was a small child. Living carefree, without a worry in the world. Had various friends, and some of them were quite close to me. But when maturity starts to sink in (or immaturity? I wonder...), I lose all that vivaciousness, and started to become the man I am now: quiet, reserved, and consequently lonely. :(

I need to make new friends...
