Yet another post...
Monday, December 27, 2004 Guys, sorry for not updating as often as I normally would. There are two reasons to this: one being the fact that my life is sooo "unhappening" that I don't feel like it's exciting to write about; and the other being the fact that I'm quite busy currently. Yes, I'm just taking 13 credit hours this semester, but still, the subjects (especially Control Systems and Engineering Graphics) are subjects that have many work to be done. Anyway, let's see... hmmm... my last post was 10 days ago?!! Wow, that's quite a long time. Well, what happened since then? Not much. 2 weekends ago, I took part in the PES4 tournament (Mun Wai's, of course). Well, the usual suspects won the tournament, as usual. Mun Wai won first place, Effy won 2nd, and another 2 guys whom I don't know their names won 3rd and 4th. As for me, I managed to play till the quarter finals, before bowing out to the guy who won 3rd place. It's a huge improvement for me actually, coz before this, in the 2 tournaments that I played, I never went past the first round. Now I managed to get to the quarterfinals, so that's a huge achievement right there. The next tournament will be a 3 on 3 tournament (on the 2nd of January, using national teams again) and another on the 18th of February (this time solo play, using club teams). Click here for more details. I'm not sure about joining the 3 on 3 tournament, as I don't have many frens to form a 3-people group. But the February 18th tournanment, yes, I'll definitely join. Last week, not much happened. I had an Engineering Graphics quiz, which was actually a manual drawing assignment. As usual, I'm sooo slow in producing a drawing. So not used to drawing objects manually. I'd rather use computers, using software such as Pro Engineer and AutoCAD. I guess they want us to appreciate how engineering drawings were initially created: by hand. They don't want us to take the drawings generated by computers for granted. Also, another significant event that happened last week was that my YTN allowance is finally in! I finally have money to spend... Huhuhu... but considering the hardships I had to endure in these first few weeks before my allowance was deposited, I think I'll only spend when I really need to. To date, I've spent the money to upgrade my PC's RAM from 512 MB to 1 GB total, plus changing my sound card to an Audigy 2 Value. To recoup the cost of this upgrade, I intend to sell off my old RAM. Any buyers? If u guys want to buy, just go to www.lelong.com.my and search for it. I had it open for auction, with bidding starting at RM110. This past weekend, my family and I visited our dear youngest sister's National Service camp. Well, it looks a bit like a BTN camp. Okay la jugak... we had lunch with her, and chatted for a while. But seriously, I'm glad National Service wasn't introduced during my time after SPM, as I'm not a fan of these types of programs. Give me a job, send me to tuition, anything, I'd rather do them, than participating in these BTN, OBS, military style activities. I dunno why. It's just not my thing... Kay laaa, I think that'll just be enough for now. I'll update more later. Thanks for being my loyal fans! :) Posted by Nikman Shah at 5:26 pm ![]() | *** |
