Wahhh... Why so bosan one?!!

At this very moment in the office, I really don't know what to do. I've
completed all the assignments that my supervisor gave me before, and he
expects me to ask a senior engineer here for more tasks to perform. Well, I
may do that later, but now, I feel like I want to type a new entry on my
dear blog first.

Today is a very boring day for me. Hmm, the first half of the day, before
lunch, was quite okay because I intentionally busied myself by sorting out
my logbook. I made sure that every attachment is in order, and photocopied
everything that I need to include in the logbook.

But as lunch time came, the day became sooo boring. At lunch, as usual, in
order to save my money (for more important purchases - like "someone's"
birthday... ;)), I brought and ate a pre-packed bihun goreng from home.
Heh... It saves at least RM 3 of my money per day, and considering the fact
that I still have another 43 working days to go; that means savings of
around RM129! Wow! Drinks I definitely no longer buy, since I now bring a
water bottle to the office, where I can refill it with mineral water every
time it's empty. After eating lunch, I read my back-logged PC Gamer
magazine, March issue (brought in anticipation of another boring day at the
office, of course).

But after lunch hour the boredom truly sets in. I felt sooo sleepy, and
restless. If only they allow staffs to sleep - I'll definitely snap up that
offer. But now, as far as company policies go, I can't. Luckily I
remembered that I can post to my blog. Thus, this is the reason why I post
today. Coz I'm bored, and I want to kill time. So, sorry if I seem to
ramble about, talking much about nothing. ;)

Hmmm... have any of you guys ever gone for internship, work experience, or
industrial training at an engineering design or consultancy company? Can
you guys pleeeeeeeease post some tips for me as to how I can fully utilise
the time I have here at Technip as efficiently as possible? Bear in mind
that my internship with Technip doesn't have any specific programme that
they adhere to. It's sort of like an open-ended one, where I'm supposed to
manage doing everything on my own. Well, I don't mind if they were to give
me work - tons of work, I don't care! As long as they give me something to
do, I'll be satisfied. A little bit of work is always much, much better
than no work at all. So, what do you guys feel I should do? I want to try
asking them for some work, but it seems they're so busy with their own
work, I feel guilty of bothering them. :P

Enough about work. What happened these past few days?

On Sunday, I went to my girlfriend's friend's brother's (understand?)
wedding. That was quite a boring event (in my case, of course) since I was
quiet most of the time. I don't know what to say to the people attending
the wedding, since I don't know who they are, and am currently not friends
with them. But at least now they know who I am. That's good enough for now.
:)

Then, after the wedding, I sprinted towards KLIA to join my family in
welcoming my brother and sis-in-law back to Malaysia. The last time they
were here, it was in 2003, if I'm not mistaken. So it's sort of like a huge
deal that they're back.

Actually, it is a huge deal, since they will be having their wedding
reception on the 5th of June, 2005. A reception that we as a family, are
trying to prepare as soon as possible. So you can imagine how busy we are
these coming few weeks. Taking into accont the fact that they told my
parents they were coming back in such short notice (only last month they
told my parents they're going back), you can just guess how hectic our
preparations are! Around 6 weeks to prepare everything... crazy!

So the story goes that yesterday, on Labour Day holiday, I, my brother, my
sis-in-law and her sister went to Wisma Yakin in Jalan Masjid India to
firstly order a tailor-made Baju Melayu to be used during the wedding
reception. RM220 per baju. Wow! No way will I ever tempah a new baju
melayu, until at least this new one becomes spoiled.

After that, we went to Semua House to search for my bro and his wife's
wedding reception attire. They will just rent it for the day, and not buy
it, since they are frugal enough to want to save their money and not buy
something they feel they won't use after this. To my readers who are
married: do you guys purchase your wedding attire or do you guys just rent,
like my brother does? What's your opinion, Kak An?

Next, we went to Times Square for a short while since all of them, except
me, haven't gone there yet. They saw the roller-coaster inside Times
Square, and my brother and sis-in-law were quite intrigued to ride it.
However, I and my sis-in-law's sis felt a bit "scared" to ride it, thus
cancelling their plans of trying the roller-coaster out. ;)

After that we went to Low Yat Plaza and completed what we originally
planned to do: buy a wireless router, and wireless adapter for both my
desktop at home and ayah's laptop. We had to do this coz my father plans to
put my PC upstairs in my room, while simultaneously not wanting the network
cable to get cluttered on it's way up. Therefore, the only way to achieve
this is to buy a wireless router and create a wireless network.

I can't wait to successfully setup this wireless network. I hope it meets
no stumbling block. Then, I can relax and sit in my room, turning on the
sound oh-so-loudly, and, most importantly, I can lie down on my bed and
Skype with my girlfriend. Total bliss...

OK, I guess this post is already too long, and I don't want to irritate my
readers. Sorry for this extremely long post guys. ;)
