Week 7 (That's another 5 weeks to go!)
Tuesday, May 24, 2005
Hi guys! Today marks the start of week 7 of my industrial training. Well,
technically, yesterday was the start of week 7, but since yesterday was a
public holiday, thus I consider today as the beginning of week 7. :)
About my last post... Well, thank you dear readers! I appreciate all the
help I got, and will get in the near future. That's what I like about
blogging: you can ask for assistance from your fellow readers, and almost
surely your fellow bloggers will chip in to help. Thanks guys! Anyway, the
problem was not that big enough of a deal, actually. I wasn't put into any
situation where I was forced to choose between a friend or my girlfriend.
Maybe I just made a huge deal out of a small thing like that. I would not
like to elaborate too much on it; suffice to say that when we start a new
relationship, we should, as much as possible, balance the time we have with
every single person that we hold dear. That includes girlfriend, friends,
and family. And we should most definitely plan early and tell every single
person of our plans as early as possible. That is to avoid delays,
disappointments, frustrations, and heartbreaks. I will surely keep that in
mind in my future dealings with this subject.
Anyway, what have I been doing? Not much. I've performed a true techical
bid tabulation (TBT) for a bidder of an equipment that Technip's designing
for a client, and this TBT will be used as a deliverable for Technip to
present to their client. Wow, some true work, I might say. But it's just a
small bit part of the documents. But still, I got to put my name at the end
of the document: "Prepared by Nornikman". Woohoo! At least I've left my
mark here in Technip. ;)
Apart from that, ermmm... nothing much. Really, I haven't much things to do
here. Other than the usual ones, of course. Such as e-mailing my
girlfriend, blogging, and so on. ;) But at least today, a new employee will
be joining my department here in Technip. Now I can see somebody else other
than me daydreaming his days off. ;) Nahhh... not really. Well, the first
day, he'll surely daydream and feel boring but come tomorrow, I'm sure
he'll start to have many busy jobs to do. I'll observe him, how he starts
his work. So that IF one day I join Technip, at least I'll know what to
expect!
Watched Star Wars Episode III anyone? How do you find it? To me, it was
good. Much, much better than episodes I and II. And I particularly liked
the fact that in the end Anakin turned to the dark side and became Darth
Vader. Finally, a movie that shows the bad guys winning in the end! See,
not all movies have to have a happy ending after all. But one thing I don't
like is how easy it was for Anakin to suddenly turn to the dark side... He
just killed a Jedi, cried, felt regret, then suddenly chose the Emperor as
his Sith Lord. All in the blink of an eye. Too easy for a decision that's
life-changing, if you ask me.
Also this past weekend, I got to watch the season 4 finale of Smallville.
Yeah, that's 1 finale I most definitely like! Leaves us with lots of
unanswered questions. Such as who's black spaceship did Lana find? Why
Clark ended up in a snow-filled mountain? Will Clark be able to learn how
to fly (I think he will; if not, how will he be able to escape that
mountain?)? Many questions still linger... Oh well, I guess we'll just have
to wait till next fall to know the answers...
FA Cup... Who won? Arsenal!!! Hahaha... Best2... Man U lost. And they now
have a completely losing season. Yeah! And what's worse (or great, if you
asked me! Hahaha), they will have a new owner, Malcolm Glazer, who'll bring
huge debts to the club. Memang terbaik lah! I don't know what'll happen now
to Man United. But one thing's for sure, they'll no longer be the dominant
force they once were. Heheee...
Hmmm... it's too long now. I think I'll stop. I'll continue blogging later.
Bubye!
