Procrastination, Project, Movie, Perfume, Helicopter Crash, Marriage!

Hi guys...
I feel a little bit guilty not writing anything in this blog of mine for
quite a long time. Sorry! It's not that I don't want to: it's just that I
can't seem to find enough time to do it. Considering also the fact that my
final year project has yet to be completed, and I think you can guess the
predicament I'm in.
Time and time again, I've said to myself, I will not postpone my work. I've
been repeating that mantra ever since the day I started my Project I!!! But
see what ACTUALLY happened? I continued to postpone the work I had, and it
all added up to the problem I'm having now. Personally, I don't think I can
finish this project in time. I think I might even have to extend my studies
for another semester. I hope I won't, but day by day, that possibility is
slowly becoming a reality.
Oh well, what's past is past. I should not dwell too much on it. Consider
it as a lesson learned during the course of my life. Learn from this
mistake, and move on, hopefully being more matured in the process. I for
one, am almost sure that after this debacle, I'll be less of a
procrastinator than I was. Or even not procrastinate at all!
Whatever.
Anyway, what happened during the past 2 weeks? Not much. But the highlight
of those 2 weeks that came after that was my watching of the movie Mr & Mrs
Smith and Batman Begins. Both movie were great! Although the Smith movie
ended quite abruptly (I expected them to confront the main baddies after
the protagonists climactic battle), but I guess they'll be leaving that for
future sequels. Batman Begins, on the other hand, rocks! Seriously rocks.
The story is about how Batman became who he is. I liked this story because
it's much more darker and realistic. Even the Batmobile is quite realistic,
since it looks like a cross between an APC (armoured personnel carrier),
MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) and ATV (all-terrain vehicle). I hope after
this, the same producer and director, and even Batman actor (Christian
Bale) remakes the previous Batman movies with the same vein and atmosphere
as Batman Begins. Action-packed, dark, realistic, horrifying. The way
Batman should always be.
Also, after watching the movie, I went out for a stroll around Midvalley to
accompany my girlfriend and her sister searching for a present for their
dad (Father's Day - a day that I don't celebrate - was yesterday). They
finally agreed upon buying Higher by Christian Dior or something. :P I'm
not that into perfume and designer brands, but I think that was the brand
and model.
But what's great is that while going around the deparmental stores, we
chanced upon the Hugo Boss range of perfumes, and I tested (and quite
liked) 2 perfumes: Boss Soul and Boss 6. My preference leans more towards
Boss 6. Now I think I know what my next perfume purchase would be. But
buying a perfume is a no-no until my current perfume bottle is empty. I'm
not like those people who buy many types of perfume and wears a different
brand / model every day. At least not until I'm rich enough to do so. ;P
And finally, have you guys read/listened/watched the news about the
helicopter crash of Shell Sarawak (or Sabah? I forgot ;P) offshore
personnel? I think they were going to their offshore platform via
helicopter when some problems occured and their helicopter crashed. Makes
me kinda think: working offshore, as high-paying as it is, has huge risks
involved with it. Scary... But any job has their life-endangering risks
(except office-based jobs, I think). So the best thing to do is to usaha,
doa, and tawakal.
And finally, my cousin Ada (short for Adawiyah) got married yesterday, with
her husband Azizi. Congratulations to both of them! Another one of my
cousins will be getting married next weekend. My schoolmate Yasin got
married during the day of my brother's wedding reception, and another of my
schoolmate, Harris, will also be getting married this coming weekend. Wow.
Everyone my age (and even younger!) is getting married. When will it be my
turn? Even yesterday when I went to Ada's wedding, my relatives who don't
know me or my brother that much, thought that I was Bang Shah. Do I have
the look of a married guy? ;P My uncle playfully said, "Hah, dah 2 orang
ingat camtu. Masin mulut diorang, tak lama lagi la tu!" Haha!
